Catizen: Leading the TON Ecosystem in Web3 Gaming

Catizen, a game project within the TON ecosystem, has reported that its platform now boasts over 1.5 million users. The project also mentioned that players must link their wallets and engage with the blockchain in the Catizen game to be eligible for airdrops.

Catizen is emerging as a top Toncoin (TON) game, with strong off-chain and on-chain engagement. It has over 6.5 million off-chain users and 230,000 on-chain addresses. While it trails behind Hamster Kombat in player count, Catizen excels with active leaderboards and a diverse Telegram community.

Despite lagging behind Gamee have more off-chain users, Catizen's token and Toncoin's high speed enhance frequent transactions and rewards. Catizen offers a metaverse with playable characters and upgrades, moving beyond simple clicker games. It also engages users with exclusive airdrops and multiple in-game tokens, similar to successful Web2 games.

Catizen Will  launch its Game Center

Catizen is set to launch a Game Center by the end of 2024 to support Web3 game development. Tim Wong, Chairman of the Catizen Foundation, highlighted their commitment to Web3 and the TON ecosystem. Catizen, a play-to-earn game on Telegram, allows players to manage a virtual cat city and earn in-game currency through simple mechanics.

The game has grown significantly, generating over $10 million in revenue. Catizen also emphasizes community engagement and charitable donations.

Moreover, Catizen is currently in the play-to-airdrop stage, where players compete for future airdrops rather than existing tokens, incentivizing early participation. The game uses TON for in-app purchases and leveling up, making it a pay-to-play game within a crypto economy.

The community competes for 42% of the Catizen airdrop, but there are challenges with Sybil accounts and bots. A new Solana-based Catizen token exists on Raydium with low trading activity on-chain data shows. Catizen is testing Toncoin for its upcoming token, potentially trading under the CATI ticker, which may lead to confusion with copycat tokens.

Toncoin Is Secret to Catizen Success

Toncoin, with its native TON token, is rapidly growing and reviving the Web3 game narrative by focusing on off-chain engagement before adding tokens. It now locks over $768M, showing steep growth recently. Telegram continues to host clicker games, with some choosing other blockchains like Solana or Base for trading. Mini-apps are easier to create and spread compared to full games like Catizen.

Conclusion

Catizen is rapidly establishing itself as a leading game within the TON ecosystem, leveraging both off-chain and on-chain engagement. With significant user growth and upcoming features like the Game Center, Catizen is poised to further enhance its presence in the Web3 gaming space. The integration of Toncoin and innovative gameplay mechanics are key to its success, positioning Catizen as a strong contender in the evolving landscape of blockchain games.
